who is shift hr?

SHIFT HR is a little more than your average HR Consultancy; we aim to be a catalyst for change in the HR realm. Founded by Nick Gearen, SHIFT HR has a keen eye for innovation, specialising in modernising HR Operations, infusing agility into HR practices, and creating a vision for the future of HR in your business.

One-size-fits-all doesn’t exist

In this space, i'm not interested in out of the box solutions. There are too many variables and intricacies in business and people to throw you something that might not work and you won't have support in. I want to help you formulate something that works for you.

Measurable Results

I believe in measurable results, data driven insights and performance metrics. Can't be agile without the information, and so I like to have ways in advance to track our progress and refine.

Execution, and flexibility

Again a stylistic thing, but I like to embrace the agility and changing nature of business allowing me to pivot quickly, experiment, and adapt our strategies based on what's happening in the real world.

Fun and humanity

Maybe too much fun, but it's fun all the same. HR actually is a super incredible place to be, and it's hard to get stuck in the weeds. I like to make sure the process of elevating and moving into a new space is fun and inspiring. It's also people work, with other people. Getting to know each other and building meaningful connections is the foundation for our success.

Collaborative Spirit

I am a real collaborator. There won't be a person that doesn't feel included that's for sure. I work closely with you and your stakeholders to leverage your insights and expertise for meaningful outcomes.

Commercial

There is a real gap in the HR space in commercialising the HR strategy. It's not all fluff - and it has commercial impacts, I pride myself on being able to present and articulate the commercial realities and outcomes of the work we do, and i'll help you do it too.
